We have added a new beta feature to our Survival realm - Passive Mode / PvP Toggling.

This feature intends to provide players who wish to have a PvE experience the ability to do so, while also allowing PvP for those who enjoy the combat side of Minecraft.

By default, you will be placed in passive mode which doesn't allow any form of PvP, and should you wish to duel with another player, BOTH of you must be in combat mode. You can change your modes with /pvp <on/off/toggle>, but beware there is a 60 second cooldown on switching modes that starts after you switch modes, or when you engage in combat with another player.

Your current PvP mode will be displayed on login, but you can also check it at any time with /pvp status. You can see other player's PvP status by looking to see if they're displaying the red combat mode particles (you'll need to enable particle effects in video settings if those are disabled).

This system is currently in beta, and while we extensively tested it, expect there to be some bugs. We're also open to your feedback about the system, so feel free to leave suggestions in this thread. :)

Known Bugs:
1. Players in passive mode cant break end crystals - Patched, awaiting deploy.
2. Players cant use beds to blow stuff up in the nether/end - Patched, awaiting deploy.
3. The cooldown timer doesn't actually countdown - Patched, awaiting deploy.

This sound like a really good and fair implementation. The cooldown time for once you engage in combat will be key.
