Sand duplication

So TNT duplication is allowed. How about sand duplication?

I understand why duplication in general is illegal, it wouldn't be fun if everything was free and infinite. But since TNT duplication, a specialized duplication exploit, is allowed, I think sand duplication, another specialized duplication exploit, could also be allowed.

Just to clarify, I'm not talking about using a "general-purpose duplication glitch but using it to only duplicate sand". I'm talking about "the specific glitch that can only duplicate sand(/gravel/powder)".

What would be the drawbacks of allowing it?

yea sand duplication would be nice in vanilla if the world is about to run out of sand
doesn't get to that point in lttmc, they seem to love a reset every other season of the year
