Note: All rules are guidelines only and are not all-inclusive. Interpretation and enforcement of said rules are up to staff discretion.

1 - Network-Wide Gameplay Rules:
This ruleset applies to EVERY realm on the Network. Realm-specific rulesets are listed below.

1.1 - No Inappropriate Content
Inappropriate content is defined as usernames, skins, builds, or other player-related content that is deemed inappropriate by our staff team. Politics, religion, NSFW, explicit, or suggestive content can all be seen as inappropriate.

1.2 - No Illegal Clients or Mods (Cheating)
Any modifications made to your Minecraft game client, either by way of a "mod" or "hacked client", that provide a gameplay advantage are considered illegal. This includes but is not limited to: Kill aura, anti-knockback, x-ray, auto-clicker, auto-fishing, click macros, freecam, minimaps with player/cave radar, flight, walking on water (jesus), auto-equip for armour or tools, ESP, and anti-AFK bypass. Here is a list of allowed mods: TBD

1.3 - No Bug/Exploit Abuse
Bug abuse is defined as using a game bug/glitch/exploit for ANY reason, in ANY game mode. This includes but is not limited to: duplication glitches, attempting to lag the server, attempting to bypass Anti-AFK measures, or exploiting a game mechanic for unintended rewards.

1.4 - No Intentional Lag
Lag machines are defined as any attempt to intentionally lag the server. This includes but is not limited to: using redstone lag devices, game bugs, excessive mob/entity farms (please keep mob farms below 50 entities per farm limit on all survival servers), and alt raiding.

1.5 - No Multi-Accounting
Multi-accounting is defined as using multiple accounts to gain an advantage in a game mode, to troll, or to evade punishment.

1.6 - No Punishment Evasion
Punishment evasion is defined as using multiple accounts to bypass punishments. This can result in your ban time being extended.

1.7 - No VPN, Proxy, or Computer Sharing Service Connections
VPN/Proxies/Gameshare connections are defined as using a VPN, proxy, or computer sharing (GeForce Now, Shadow, etc) service to play on the server. This will result in an automatic 24 hour ban from the network. If you believe you were falsely detected, submit a support request on the forum, or message in #mc-general on our Discord.

2 - Network-Wide Chat Rules:
This ruleset applies to Minecraft chat on EVERY realm on the Network.

2.1 - No Inappropriate Content
Inappropriate content is defined as excessive swearing, pirated content, grey market content, or NSFW/explicit/suggestive content (not even in an artistic sense).

2.2 - No Discrimination
Discrimination is defined as harassment, hate speech, racism, or abuse of any kind. We do not take discrimination lightly, and it may result in punishment without warning.

2.3 - No Chat Trolling
Chat trolling is defined as any content intended to confuse, trick, mislead, or insight disorder with players in the chat. This includes but is not limited to: scamming, impersonating other players or staff, spamming or encouraging spam, political or religious debate, flame wars, controversial topics, telling players to "Alt+F4", and using colour codes to fake a private message.

2.4 - No Threats
Threats are defined as any content to intimidate or threaten players with real-life actions. This includes but is not limited to: threatening DDoS attacks, doxxing (revealing personal information), and swatting.

2.5 - No Advertising
Advertising is defined as the promotion of third-party content without permission. Third-party content includes but is not limited to: other servers, social media accounts, affiliate links, YouTube/Twitch/Mixer channels, or anything not Linus Tech Tips/Linus Media Group related. The one exception to this rule is on the Towny SMP realm, where you are allowed to share a private discord server to your OWN town members, either via Town chat, DM, or Town bulletin board.

2.6 - English Only in Public Chat

Please keep public chat in English only. Speaking in other languages in private messages is allowed.

2.7 - No Sharing Private Information / Doxxing
Doxxing is defined as sharing private/personal information that you do not have the express permission to share. We also discourage sharing your own personal information for privacy reasons.

2.8 - No Discussion of Punishments
Punishment discussion is defined as talking about mutes/bans/punishments in public chat. If you wish to appeal a punishment, you MUST do so in the proper manner by submitting an appeal.

Realm Specific Rules:
These rulesets apply to SPECIFIC realms on the Network.

T - Towny SMP

T.1 - No Unsolicited Home-Sets
Unsolicited home-sets are defined as setting a home INSIDE someone else's Town without their permission. This is strictly prohibited.

T.2 - No Player Traps
Player traps are defined as intentionally misleading a player in order to kill them. Using player traps like a lava moat around your Town for defence is allowed.

T.3 - No Unsolicited Advertisements
Unsolicited advertisements are defined as inviting players to your Town or promoting your player shop without being prompted to do so. In other words, you're only allowed to advertise your Shop or Town when a player asks for one.

T.4 - Raiding
The looting/raiding of unprotected land or property in the wild is allowed due to the nature of this realm, however, we ask that players do not intentionally grief naturally generated land (ie, massive TNT explosions for no reason), and that they don't unnecessarily grief unprotected property (ie. blow a house up for no reason). In-town raiding/wartime may be implemented in the future.

T.5 - No Griefing
Griefing is defined as intentionally damaging land or builds you have access to for the purpose of trolling. We also define griefing as unnecessarily destroying unprotected builds (ie. blowing up a house in the wild for no reason).

S - SMP & Hard SMP

S.1 - No Player Traps
Player traps are defined as intentionally misleading a player in order to kill them. This also includes dropping items on players, enabling them to PvP to circumvent the new player protection system. Using player traps like a lava moat around your claim for defence is allowed.

S.2 - No Unsolicited Advertisements
Unsolicited advertisements are defined as promoting your player shop without being prompted to do so. In other words, you're only allowed to advertise your Shop when a player asks for one.

S.3 - Raiding
The looting/raiding of unprotected land or property in the wild is allowed, however, we ask that players do not intentionally grief naturally generated land (ie, massive TNT explosions for no reason).

S.4 - No Griefing
Griefing is defined as intentionally damaging land or builds you have access to for the purpose of trolling. We also define griefing as unnecessarily destroying unprotected builds (ie. blowing up a house in the wild for no reason), and that they don't unnecessarily grief unprotected property (ie. blow a house up for no reason)..
